Langton Football Archives is a small international research and exhibition-support based project, founded on the archives of sports journalist and Art & Sports historian Harry Langton (1929-2000).
The Archives have been collated and developed, with additional research into several of the themes of the FIFA-Langton Collection (Preston/Manchester) and the Rugby Football (Twickenham) components of the original Harry Langton Collection (HLC). LFA actively researches aspects of Football’s historic origins and its development in all Codes. Of particular interest is depiction in Fine Art and historic artifacts. LFA continues a research and acquisition programme of over 50 years. This explores and celebrates Football games and culture in people’s lives through the ages.
